You realize the difference between right of first refusal and right of refusal, right?
If the Big 12 has two options years at the end of its contract with the Sprint Center for the Big 12 tourney. It has first rights to that weekend.
If the Big 12 chooses to play those tourneys in Dallas or OKC, it loses that right of refusal. Pretty basic scheduling concept.
SEC tourney much more likely to be in St. Louis in those years, anyway. But I'd be fine with my state hosting basketball tournaments on both sides of the state the same weekend. More money for us.
