my main issues were:

1) when you have a John Doe, like the basement guy, EVERY piece of physical evidence would be thoroughly reviewed for any clues as to identitiy. For Det. Jake to not connect the maze design with the necklace was too glaring.

2) No way does Det. Jake work this case alone.

Beside that, it was a very good movie, and i enjoyed it.
