My brother in law went through this a while back. He was turned down also, I think that is standard. He was a couple years from where he could retire. He had a solid case with doctors backing him. He suffers from sezures (sp) and they get to the grand maul (sp) stage and he will flop on the floor and when they are over he is not capable of talking and will wander around doing odd things. It takes a couple days to get over it, although most the time he ends up in the hospital first. They jacked him around for a year or better, so yeah you better lawyer up. My sis said it is a real hassle and they make it as hard as they can. I assume this is to weed out the dead beats and con artists. Good luck~
