I'd agree, but you also have to take into account the state of the KU program. Rumors were that a lot of Gill's players (including both of these guys) were failing classes, not doing weights, failing drug tests, etc.

Hell Berglund missed the season because of an assault charge he was dealing with.

Let's not pretend that Weis came in and just started kicking players off some of the only talented players on the team.
