Really?

Their 100 series is essentially a carbon copy of the Beretta but without the chrome barrel. They purchased the blueprints and some of the machinery directly from Beretta before they started making them. On balance, I've heard they're a good gun just not fantastic.

'Gun snobs' hate them, but the more level-headed folks I've talked to have all said that they're solid guns if you're not a professional shooter, they'll do the job and they'll cost you 60% of what a lot of similar guns will cost.

Really, they're similar to Rock River and Bushmaster - the 'purists' with unlimited budgets that have no problem dropping $2K on the Colt for a nominal upgrade will slam the holy hell out of those 2, but in the end, the RRA and Bushmaster are still solid guns in their own right.
