You have 45 guys on the game day roster. This isn't college where you can run a whole separate team of guys out there to do stuff.

You've got the snapper, holder and kicker, so you need 8 more guys, all of whom are blocking, right? Most of those guys are big beefeaters, and you've only got 7 OLinemen on the game day roster. Gronk is a very, VERY good blocker. I'm hardly surprised he's on the PAT block team, probably along with 6 or so OLinemen and a couple other TE types.

FWIW (nothing), Gronk only played one snap on that final series leading up to the TD, and then he was on for the PAT as he's ALWAYS on for the PAT (there's no backup PAT blocking team).
