It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Nick Castellanos headed to Philly for Papelbon. I know they've moved him to the OF, but I have heard rough things about his defense out there. (Allen Craig-esque). Not like Detroit gives a shit about defensive ability, but...
Anyway, back to the point... if Paps is available, I don't see any way the Tigers aren't willing to outbid the Cards for him.

According to Derrick Goold in his blog today, they'd have no interest in Papelbon, but did mention that Cliff Lee's no-trade clause doesn't apply to St. Louis, and that Lee was recently quoted saying something to the effect that he just wants to win.
