But Rush has never been able to live up to their profound success of Moving Pictures and quite frankly, has never been the same band since. I've been listening to their latest album and it sounds awful. I'm sorry, but it sounds like Neal Peart is on a drum machine and they tragically killed Lifeson's guitar on this latest wreck. These three guys are terribly talented and this album regretfully dulls their talents. Old Rush is good Rush.

Queensrych...yeah, whatever.
That's the beauty of Rush. They do not want to be the same band they were on the last album. They do whatever the **** they want!

The new album is awesome. It took me a few listens, as it's real deep into the prog rock arena.. Which is not easy to digest, usually. Neil Peart improvised most of those 'drum machine' sounding tunes and as far as the tone of Alex's guitar.. o_O It's never sounded better. It sounds full and energetic and not as overproduced as the last few albums. He's cut back on the texturing and gone back to basics.
