He was posed a question about whether he'd play at RT given his franchise tag. He said no and that makes perfect sense, as the mere act of tagging him proves that he's not a RT.

Furthermore, you have no idea as to the full context of his objection. He's most likely saying he wouldn't play out his tag at RT, and again, I don't see a problem with that. Given his attitude in the past, I don't see any reason why if the line were somehow devastated and he needed to move to RT as a rotational stopgap why he would object.

What you're doing is taken a comment he said in the first context and automatically applying it to the second. I see no reason why anyone should do so.
