It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. Better pitchers than him have had long, productive careers working off their fastball. Lynn can do it as well, but he's going to have stretches like this where he loses the feel for his fastball and gets hit around.

Miller's the same way right now, but he's going to eventually have a plus curveball that will be able to bail him out when he's not feeling the fastball. Lynn's not likely to get there.

He is what he is; he's a good #3 starter that's never going to be an ace. He's a guy where you're going to have to deal with the fact that his aggregate stats at the end of his season will be very good, but it's going to be a rocky road getting there.
