This has me wondering if AJ Jenkins has a Danica Patrick problem.
Danica Patrick is a fast qualifier. She starts near the front because she is blistering on an empty track. Then you throw in traffic, and she goes cautious and can't pass and can't hold off other racers. On an empty track, she is a champion. In a real race, she is an also-ran who almost never podiums.
Now AJ is getting praise for practice in non-contact drills. Give him contact, and he crumbles.
I don't think this is coach-able. I guess we'll see.

That's Jon Baldwin's problem, too. Looks GREAT in practice! He's a completely different player in the games, though.
It's looking more and more like all the Chiefs and Niners did was waste two airline tickets sending these guys to their new teams.
