The top tier guys are going to get paid regardless. They aren't effected by this.
For example when Andy Dalton's contract up with the Bengals, he should probably command over 10 million per year. But now he's gotta deal with the team saying you think we should pay you more than Tom Brady? It limits his earning power.
It's commendable that he took less money but he also screws some other players as well. It's not even limited to just QB's either. Effects a lot of guys.
