I almost bought it over the weekend, but decided to sleep on it. After two days to thinking, I decided I had to have it. Its my one and only pistol at the moment.
It feels a lot better in my hand than the Gen3 G17 I had a few years ago. The grip doesn't seem as thick, and the texture is more "grippy." I'm really digging the flat dark earth frame. And I love that it came with three 15-round mags instead of two. That was enough to send me over the edge. I'm not 100% sure, but I think all of the Gen4's come with 3 mags.
After my wallet recovers, I gotta build up a decent stash of 9mm. I've only got a few hundred rounds on hand. |
Yup all Gen 4s come with 3 mags. It's funny I've always been a bit of a 1911 snob because I love the trigger! But when I got my first G4 Glock 31 a couple years ago I really warmed up to the platform.
I used to say I didn't like glocks because they didn't have a safety but the reality is, it's not that much different from a 1911 grip safety etc. Build quality is pretty good and most importantly it's dog simple so it just works. I appreciate the design more enough that I'll get a G4 FDE once things settle down.
