Or are you going to say Adrian Peterson was boom or bust also?

It's a stupid stat no matter how true it is. You take the the longest runs from any running back and their average will drop dramatically. What's next? Take the longest 20 passes from quarterbacks to figure out their yards per attempt? Alex Smith would average like 2 yards then.
I don't watch enough of Adrian Peterson to know how he gets his yards, but my impression of him is that he's more consistent.

I'm not saying JC is bad or that I'd rather have someone else (I'd probably take AP over him, but I can't think of too many others). I'm just saying that he has a lot of non-productive runs mixed in with his 10 yard and 90 yard bursts. And a lot of his bursts in some games came when the Chiefs would run on a passing down like 2nd and long. It would have been fine if Peyton Hillis or Thomas Jones were able to be the dependable 3 yard guy you could count on, but they were all the bust without the boom.
