I'm not saying JC is bad or that I'd rather have someone else (I'd probably take AP over him, but I can't think of too many others). And a lot of his bursts in some games came when the Chiefs would run on a passing down like 2nd and long. It would have been fine if Peyton Hillis or Thomas Jones were able to be the dependable 3 yard guy you could count on, but they were all the bust without the boom.

Charles is EXTREMELY consistent. One of the top 3 most consistent running backs in the league.
