Mozeliak has to think about the team this year and in the future. Although it's tempting to throw caution to the wind and bring up Wacha right now, that doesn't mean it's the best move in the long-term interests of the franchise. With the way Matt Carpenter has handled 2B, which has been absolutely tremendous, they might be better off flipping Wong for bullpen help similar to the way they moved Cox last year.

The Cardinals have proven that the can develop pitching and talent. I'm okay with Wacha staying down in AAA so that this year doesn't start the clock.
