I went to go see my local mom and pop vacuum cleaner store to pick up a belt and a new air filter for the Bissell vacuum that is not working. They wanted $100 just to refurb it, clean it up, etc. I've been able to do most of that myself here at home in about 30 mins. The line of vac's they carry are called Riccar. They're made in St. James, MO. They cost about the same as Dyson's, but are made of metal instead of plastic and have five or six year warranty, depending on the model. Never heard of them before. Bags and filters cost more, because you can't just walk in and buy them at Wal Mart, but they are built like a tank.
