They would have been better than Denver this season if Manning had chosen KC over the Broncos. But, there is no "NFL ready" QB in this draft and they will need to sort the WR situation too. The Chiefs could manage a season ending in a playoff birth next year with the Geno factor etc, but they are not quite going to be ready to swing the big stick.
Bowe is the only guy they can't replace on the existing roster. Albert I like, but #79 has shown Albert is nothing special -- the Chiefs are running the ball as well as any other time with Albert starting.
They need WR's though, and a TE that can stay on the field. If they could find another Moeaki type guy, he can keep the chains moving even when Moeaki isn't available.
ST coach is a buffoon, he needs to be dumped.
But, really, it's all about the passing game. If they can get that going next year with a new QB plus some of these players stepping it up, they will begin to look like the team most fans wanted to see this season.
