Looks like Vrabel never really looks at him in his face. Kind of looks past him to his left it looks like to me. Looks like he does this a few times later too. I do it all the time, just look into nothing sometimes when I'm concentrating on what someone it saying but it's not a one on one conversation where you can make eye contact.
