The tie dye design is a dead giveaway that we are talking about the same Dan. Good guy. Spent a good deal of time with him playing video games, pinball, chess, talking philosophy and "exploring consciousness." I lost touch with him after I went to grad school; ran into him a few years back at a party in Lawrence at his (former) brother in law's (I think that is how they knew each other).
