MOTW is okay. It kinda has to be, based upon the premise, at least to some extent.
In any case, Abrams is directing, but if he's not writing the whole thing, I don't see any reason to be dissatisfied with the choice for him as director. As long as there's no ****ing metachlorients or Jar-Jar, I'll be okay.

I've just never been impressed with Abrams as a director. I think Matthew Vaughn would have been the better choice but for whatever reason, LucasFilm chose Abrams.
I've heard that it's a female lead in this film, so it makes sense to go with Abrams, I suppose, because of
Felicity and
Lost. But I'll remain skeptical until I see it.
