Or the sight of a bare ankle in a black-and-white movie.
I didn't have it too rough as a kid, growing up in the 1978-1983 area. Sex was just starting to become acceptable on TV (Daisy Duke, "Charlie's Angels", etc.,.). In addition to porno mags, I could still take public transportation into downtown Boston and wander the Combat Zone, full of prostitutes and Pussycat Cinemas with their XXX posters. Cable TV was just coming around, and even back then, the one movie channel we could get (Starcase, I think it was called; we needed a box for it, and it was the only channel) would show "blue" films after midnight. (This was so long ago that, every month, they would mail you the little brochure with the next month's movie titles and times, and you'd wait eagerly to see what movies would be rotating that month.)
