Cycling is great. I just finished 25 miles. So much easier on my knees than running (which I finally gave up for good this year).
A few words of advice: ride VERY defensively. Always assume that nobody gives a shit about you. Always assume that nobody is paying attention to where they are or what they're doing. Always assume that nobody has any idea what's going on around them. So take it upon yourself to protect yourself. Learn your trail/street/wherever you're riding. Slow down on blind curves. Yes it's annoying, but losing 10 seconds of speed is better than losing 2 months of mobility because you went spinning over your handlebars. And watch out for strollers. Because they're the worst. Especially strollers with dogs on long leashes.
