The guy is mobile and made more reads and threw more precisely on the run than many starters Monday night. That last TD he threw, His intial read was covered right away, so was his second, both on his right side, so he rolled left and found a receiver (Third read) in the
end zone (The initial call was a TE screen at the LOS!)
IMO, That play won him the starting job! Holy crap!
Cassel hasn't done anything close to that in his 4th season with the Chiefs, Alex Smith's biggest play as a Niner was a bootleg
run in the playoffs last season.
Now, having said that, the guy isn't perfect, as none of us are. He will throw picks and make mistakes. But he most definitely has the most upside and gives them the best chance to win because he can make plays. He has already sat a season so he might as well start playing now to get the game experience.
