Probably at this point the best way to deal with them would be you hand picking them off. Diatomaceous earth(silicon dioxide) around the base wouldn't hurt but would need a another application after getting wet. A liquid soap(regualr palmolive only, no bleach or antibacterial soap) and Dyna-Gro Neem oil solution seem to work well. Good luck, stinky fingers.
