I don't think the vast majority care about the Chiefs/Indians name, its not even on their radar.
The only thing Chiefs need to change, they have already changed. A white guy painted red dressed in a indian costume riding on horseback is not a good image. No one wants to see an almost naked man riding around on a horse anyway.
Now put a nice looking blonde on the horse and its a win-win.
