I bought a "fixer-upper" in october that had taken a severe beating from renters...I'm a bachelor and hit it with "uncaged fury" for about 2 months...worked til' midnight every night after work....ran out of money, supplies and ambition all about the same time...I've redone a bedroom and a half, most of a kitchen(trim and refinish cabinets left), have ALOT left to do....Just remember that EVERY project takes longer and is a little more complicated that you figure it will be....ITs exhausting but rewarding to see a room take shape with your sweat and hands doing the work.....
Some relatives recently moved from that area(Booth Street)...I don't recommend spending much time around Bannister Mall at night....2 family memebers were robbed at gun point there and at the "super walmartghetto" in a 6 month period....there were alot of nice family oriented neighborhoods around there as well...
and its not that far from the stadium...
