KU's a better job now, but I think SMU has the higher ceiling (and by a fair amount).
Never, ever underestimate the amount of stupid money that is in Dallas and the number of trust-fund brats and energy tycoons that think their dicks get larger when they throw money at college programs.
If you take T. Boone Pickens, bequeath him his money, divide it by 10 but then multiply the answer by several thousand individuals, you'll get the booster climate in Dallas.
If the Big East stabilizes and SMU shows some success in it, I could see it immediately becoming a pretty nice little job to have, especially since Houston is coming with them.
If you have the ego to believe you can turn it around, I would think SMU could be seen as the more attractive job.
