HPV can be deadly. It's easily transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, vaginal, anal and oral sex. There's a vaccine called Gardisil that's recommended for any girl above the age of eleven that will prevent cancer caused by HPV.
There is no vaccine for men, and 99.9999% of the time, a man's immune system will clear the HPV in four to six weeks. But once a woman is exposed, she'll have it forever.
