I've killed around 3 random encounters and 2 quest ones so far. Well, I'm not sure whether the 2nd counts as a quest. I was making my way through Whiterun and one of guards said he saw a dragon fly northwest and said "probably going to
whatever the name of the place was" and then a dragon skull popped up on my map. I went there and saw a dragon chilling on a rock and killed him.
