We wouldn't and
I clearly stated that. That's why I questioned what you meant.
You probably won't like this but, realistically, if we were really going to do this, I could see us doing something like swapping firsts and giving an additional pick for Revis. They could get a QB or pass rusher if we did that.
Or, if the new staff wanted Jarvis Jones, we might be able to trade Tamba straight up for him. They need a pass rusher and Tamba would cost them a lot less than Revis.
Tamba's one of my favorite players but, I could see the new staff trading him. Especially if they have Jarvis Jones at the top of their list and his physical turns out well. Tamba's pushing 30 and is going into the downside of his career.
In the end, I don't think we'll trade for Revis. However, unlike *****, the Packers and Andy do value and invest in top CBs. Woodson worked out great for Green Bay. Asante Samuel, Rodgers Cromartie, and Namdi Asamough are all guys Reid traded for. He's always had good CBs. Even Lito Shephard and Sheldon were pro bowlers for him. He even started with Troy Vincent and Bobby Taylor. That makes seven pro bowl caliber CBs during Reid's tenure in Philly. I think both Dorsey and Reid would be willing to give something if they really want him...
