I play on wireless internet and am constantly playing on 3 bar connections. The only time I get a 4 bar is if I miraculously get host.
If you get the first shot off you will normally win the one-on-one gunfights, even with a connection that isn't very good. I normally get the first shot off because I constantly have a Spy Plane up or hear people coming with my headset.
