I've had people ask this question a lot. And usually, they are only looking at one factor in choosing a tablet... price. But what they don't think about, is all the other important factors that go into choosing a tablet.

What are you using it for? Will it have a specific purpose?
Are there individual apps needed? If so, are they available for that cheap tablet? Lots of people buy cheap tablet alternatives before they realize that the apps they intended to use aren't available on the cheapo tablet they bought. The cheaper tablets usually run some modified version of Android, and sometimes don't even have access to the entire Android market. And many times the stripped down modified version of Android is only upgradable with manufacturer modified and provided Android OS, which always sucks and is several versions behind.

I'm not saying get an iPad or you'll be disappointed. But do some research on tablets so you know more than just the price point you'd like. There's a great deal of difference between the cheapo Android tablets and the good quality ones. The cheap ones are garbage. Don't be fooled by the price alone. You get what you pay for.
