created one but can't see create another one, it just automatically logs into the initial character.

You pick your initial character and then after you finish the starting zone you get another one as a drop.
If you are playing for free you only get to choose between 4 chars to start and after those first 2 you select/get as a drop you either have to find the others as drops or buy them.
