Bethpage is designed by A.W. Tillinghast, a great course designer. If you want to play one of his courses you need to drive no further than Swope Memorial in KC. Swope is a GREAT course. In fact, it's one of Tom Watson's favorite courses in the world. Not a bad endorsement. It's public, too, and green fees are pretty cheap.
