3. An area of great scenic beauty, preferably with a large waterfall, but one that's not really noisy, just tall.
4. Some sort of large archaeological vestige of a lost civilization. It could be a pyramid or it could be something else like a Mahal or a Wat.
5. A bear viewing area, preferably grizzly or polar.
6. A large wargaming convention, but one in which less than 80 percent of attendees aren't kind of weird.
7. At least one cool gimmick hotel, like one made out of ice, or underwater, or in a big treehouse.
8. A high point that offers stunning vistas of the surrounding area. It could be a natural high point like a mountaintop, or it could be a manmade high point like a Space Needle or Washington Monument.
9. A museum that contains one or more of the following: suits of armor, tanks, a display on tribal migration patterns, or a professional football history wing.
10. A festival that nominally celebrates something like Spring or Tuesday, but which informally is a raucous display of female exhibitionism.

Please advise.
1. Actually, there is a historic homes tour. There's a lot of old money in St. Joe with some grand old houses and architecture.

2. World class? I'm not so sure, but there are some fantastic restaurants specific to St. Joe. Many people traveling in to see family enjoy coming back to eat at these establishments, like Barbosa's, the Hoof and Horn, Galvin's and a handful of other great places to eat.

3. There used to be a waterfall at Krug Park, but it's all but dried up. Still a beautiful park with a pond and lots of ducks and geese. King Hill lookout and Wyeth Park are overlooks above the city and suounding area and provide great scenic views. Bluff Woods conservation area is a great place to visit in the fall, but might not provide much for viewing in the summer month of August.

4. Would Indian artifacts count? There's a nice collection at the recently built Remington Nature Center. The Native Americans are a lost civilization, simply because the English settlers simply murdered most of them upon settling in North America.

5. There are no longer bears in Northwest Missouri, unfortunately. There's a stuffed bear at the Nature Center though

6. I think there is some sort of society established in town that focuses on video gaming. I'm not that familiar with it. Slightly related, there are various civil war reenactments that take place throughout the area spread throughout the year.

7. umm, I guess the closest would be the Ramada Inn with a newly built indoor water park. However, I've heard it isn't the quitest place to settle in for the night.

8. see the King Hill lookout and Wyeth Park viewing areas referenced above.

9. There are a lot of great museums in the area. Not sure anything you request specifically, however we have the Glore Psychiatric Museum (old mental hospital turned museum), Remington Nature Center (displays on most of the native animals and native american, civil war and pony express memorabilia), Patee House Museum (an old motel turned museum, also the place the Pony Express was operated out of, lots of Jesse James and Pony Express history), the Pony Express Museum (old pony express stables with memorabilia from that period), Miliary Heritage Museum, and a couple other museums I'm not mentioning.

10. Mardi Gras parade
