Further investigation revealed that this old guy was deaf or almost deaf and was legally blind. Never mind that the neighbors tried to tell the SWAT jackboots this fact. I have no clue if the guy just went nuts or what. I just know there was a day and age when your local sheriff could find a way to disarm the crazy 107 year old in town without terrifying the guy into retreating into a room where he feels the need to shoot through a closed door at an unknown target beyond.
