Yeah, the Payroll vs. Revenue comparison is not going to be pretty any way it is sliced.

The only thing I'll say in the negative on that graph is that it compares 100 percent of the income to an unknown percentage of the spending.

Yes, MLB payroll is the biggest part of the budget. But the Royals have spent considerably - at least under Moore - on amateur talent, minor league coaching, supporting minor league teams, baseball academies, etc.

That's why I'm also skeptical about the "Glass pocketed $xx million last year." We don't get a look at the final bottom line
