I'm not the guy who hates the idea of trading prospects, but riddle me this. Isn't the idea behind trading prospects to match players with team needs?
Our single biggest weakness is RF. We have the best RF prospect in baseball. What do we really stand to gain by moving him?
I get the fact that we really need starting pitching, but isn't this literally the worst possible way to go about acquiring some?
It's like saying "one of our our ships is sinking. Quick, run to our other ship that is brand new and functioning perfectly, tear it apart, and use the materials to try to patch a hole in the old, sinking ship."
