Report: Branden Albert wants Jake Long money
Yahoo Sports' Jason Cole reports Branden Albert is seeking $8-9 million annually on a long-term contract.
The Dolphins and Albert have discussed a deal, but Albert is seeking more than Jake Long, whose $8.5M-annually price GM Jeff Ireland wouldn't match in St. Louis. As Cole notes, it would seem "counterintuitive" for the Fins to pay Albert the same number as Long while sacrificing a second-round pick. Albert is a better fit for Miami's scheme than Long, but both have been injury prone and Albert has a history of back problems. The Fins are in a very tough spot.
