I've posted it on here before, but I was told back in September - before any sense of Pinkel being in real jeopardy - that Paul Rhoads and Kyle Whittingham were on Pinkel's short list (that he always keeps, just in case - part of being an AD).

I'd expect Charlie Strong and Dan Mullen would get calls. Strong is probably at the top of the list.
Why not Gus Malzhan? He's done a good job at Arkansas St. and has ties to the SEC.
