See, this is my downfall in this arena: I don't have any frame of reference when it comes to these characters actions on film versus those of the comics.
So, my complaints about
The Avengers,
Iron Man 2, etc. don't stem from the fact that they may have strayed from, garbled or just completely ignored the source material, it comes from the film making process in and of itself.
Direction, acting, lighting, dialog, screenplay, etc. and so on. IMO, that's where
Iron Man 2 and
The Avengers really fail. Both films are just so unconvincing to me.
