I wouldn't expect Alex to stand up statisically with Brady. Brady will be going to the Hall of fame. I think Alex can be a good QB, but I don't forsee his ever becoming a great QB.
With that said, do you really think that the 49ers OL and WRs were anywhere near as talented as the Pats other than in 2011 and 2012 for the duration of Alex's career?
Edit: you're correct about the last 2 seasons being an outlier. Where we might disagree is the reason why.
