Weird to see punk go over in chicago. They usually bury guys in their hometown (I know Regal got the belt in england).

I wonder if they're trying turn the intercontinental belt into a meaningful title again. Not that a fake belt's ever all that big a deal in a fake fighter's hands, but Punk's had the ECW and World titles in the last year, and they gave him a shitload of time to celebrate like he'd won the f'n lottery. Had to win a tournament to get it and then all the DQ bs.

Maybe they're just trying to sell dvds. My guess is they let him hold it for a while while he's over, gives him a title but keeps him out of the main event picture until they think he's ready for it (if ever).

You know, the talking is interesting, but jesus I don't want to watch JBL in a main event.
