I don't have anything against dogs, they are just a pain in the ass to own. If you think about it, a cat is no less manly than a dog. A cat is independent, a dangerous carnivore coming from the lineage of Lions & Tigers. A cat you have to earn it's respect usually and doesn't follow you around all the time like a little kid. If anything, a dog is more like a little child and therefore a maternal instinct would yearn for that pet over a cat

Ask any midwesterner who has outbuildings if they like their outdoor cats. You'll get a great big yes.

Ask any sane person if they want a box of animal shit in their home and they'll tell you no.
