Well, yes it gets complicated. However, if you're ever going to evaluate prospects correctly, you have to do it to the smallest detail. Additionally, the details I requested aren't that difficult to ascertain, especially if one is running their own draft sire (which IIRC, you do).
As far as the rest of your post goes, you say this " I was going with a 4-3 where the DTs are essentially the same role". So, you're going to have double shaded 1 for your DTs? That doesn't make any sense. Even if you're using a w9 alignment as your base front, you're typically still going to have one of your DTs play 2gap principles.
As for the other parts in your post, I agree for the most part, especially the latter about 3-4 ILBs.
