Then that element is likely a standoff, notwithstanding some random variation on a game by game basis.

We don't want to share the game system too specifically since we don't want people to start gaming the rules, but the system will be more of a total team ability than a one-on-one matchup. If the C is weak and the other four OL are strong on the run, and they're taking on a D-line that has 3 strong D-linemen against the run and one weak one, it'll more or less offset even if they're not lined up across from each other. At least, I think that's how it works. cdcox has been doing that part of the work.

As he mentioned earlier, the key is to get good football players. If you get a team where everyone's good at passing assignments and stinks at running assignments, you're not going to run very well and should focus on the passing game in your game plan. Same with the reverse...but reversed.
