I got bit in the face by a horse when I was four and thrown by a horse (some prick lit off a pack of firecrackers behind the horse, the horse went HI O SILVER and I wasn't the Lone Ranger) when I was ten. I've ridden a couple of times since, have never enjoyed it, and am always sore as hell afterward.
I'm not afraid of them, but I'm not a fan.
