On a related topic, I went to a Vietnamese restaurant for lunch today, and it was a fast-foodish restaurant with cutesy names. They had two sizes of rice bowls - "Asian" for $5.95 and "Texan" for $6.95. I asked why the smaller portion was more expensive, and they said that Texan was the large size.
This makes no sense at all. Yeah, Texas is big for a state, but compared to Asia? All of Asia? We're talking 30 million people to 2 billion people. We're talking about comparing a big U.S. state against the largest land mass on earth by a long shot. I told them that they had their sizing wrong, but they just looked at me and asked if I wanted to order anything.
