So the cops are like: "Should we announce this immediately to the press of this arrest?"
And the police chief says: "Nah..either word will leak out or some young hot-shot reporter will discover the story within a day or two and we'll here about it soon enough on one of those nation-wide TV shows like "The View" or "The Soup" or "TMZ"..."
So the cops flip through the TV channels for 3 months, looking for a "breaking news" story, but nothing turns up.
"Hey! I've got an idea!", says a rookie. "Let's have an official public release of the mug shot to catch someone's attention."
"Oh! That's goooood!", says the chief.
